1. Subject matter of the contract and advice

1.1 Contract basis

The general business and contract conditions govern the business relationship between dog care Cuore Canino Dogsitting — Melanie Bernhardt (hereinafter Canino) and the client (hereinafter referred to as dog owner). They are binding from the time the order starts and are also valid for all subsequent orders, without the need for a new express agreement.

1.2 Scope of care

Canino offers individual care and care for the dog during feeding, walks, day care and vacation stays, including the provision of special additional services (e.g. medication, special feeding requirements, etc.) in accordance with individual arrangements between Canino and the dog owner. If necessary, in collaboration with a colleague, after consultation with the dog owner and colleague.

1.3 Consulting services and customization

Before concluding the contract, it is possible to seek free advice within an appropriate framework to clarify the scope and processes of care services. During the personal meeting between Canino and the dog owner, special needs or requirements of the dog are also discussed to ensure that the care is individually tailored.

1.4 Custody

Canino takes over the owner's dog for an agreed period of time. During the stay, the dog is cared for and cared for in accordance with the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act and its ancillary regulations.

1.5 Personal meeting

Before the contract is concluded, a personal meeting is arranged between Canino and the dog owner to discuss details. On request, a short walk with the dog can be taken together to discuss specific needs. In the case of holiday care, an adjustment period of at least 2 days before the start of the holiday is required and is remunerated accordingly. Deviations from these regulations are possible by individual arrangement.

2. Health status, diseases and parasites

2.1 Health status and prevention

2.1.1 The dog owner insures the health of his dog at the time of care, unless otherwise agreed.

2.1.2 Regular deworming or faecal testing for parasites is confirmed by the dog owner.

2.3 Reporting infectious diseases or parasites

Contagious diseases or parasites must be reported immediately. Canino reserves the right to withdraw from the contract if these are reported.

2.4 Treatment for parasites

2.4.1 If parasites are suspected, Canino has the right to arrange for an examination, analysis and treatment at the dog owner's expense.

2.4.2 The dog owner is liable for costs and failures in the event of a positive parasite infestation.

2.5 Handling sick or injured dogs

2.5.1 Sick or injured dogs are only admitted in consultation with the treating vet.

2.5.2 Canino undertakes to visit an appropriate vet if a supervised dog becomes ill or injured. As a matter of priority, the veterinarian registered in the master register is visited or contacted. However, should this be logistically too far away or not available, Canino reserves the right to visit an alternative vet at its own discretion and availability. The dog owner bears the costs.

2.6 Serious illnesses and care needs

If the dog is seriously ill or requires a lot of care, which does not make care at home responsible, the animal is transferred to a veterinary clinic at the expense of the dog owner.

2.7 Drug administration

Any medication must be brought along in sufficient quantities for the duration of your stay.

2.8 Limitations and exceptions

2.8.1 If the dog cannot be cared for for health reasons, veterinary confirmation is required.

2.8.2 Canino does not cover any costs and follow-up costs associated with the female dog's pregnancy or the birth of puppies.

2.8.3 In the event of age-related or unforeseeable death of the animal, all liability is waived and the funeral costs are borne by the pet owner.

3. Insurance and liability and additional obligations

3.1 Insurance and liability

The dog owner assures that the dog has valid liability insurance. Furthermore, the dog owner is liable for all personal, animal and property damage caused by his dog, unless there is a proven breach of supervisory duty or gross negligence on the part of Canino. In such cases, the dog owner is not liable for the damage caused.

3.2 Information requirements and powers of Canino

The pet owner undertakes to inform Canino about all negative characteristics of his pet. If this does not happen, Canino is released from liability and damage to third parties or foreign animals is borne by the pet owner. Canino is also authorized to take paid measures that are in the best interest of the animal specified in the contract.

3.3 Responsibility for items brought

Canino is not responsible for items brought along such as blankets, bowls or toys

3.4 Liability for escape and damage to health

Canino disclaims any liability for the animal's escape and for any damage to the animal's health, unless it can be proven that it has breached its duty of care.

3.5 Search for a runaway dog

In the case of a runaway dog, the search for the animal is immediately started and the dog owner is notified. Canino is only liable in cases of demonstrable violation of supervisory duties or gross negligence on the part of the dog sitter if the dog remains undetectable.

3.6 Full integration and oversight

The dog is fully integrated into the household and daily routine and is under the supervision of the dog sitter around the clock.

3.7 Notification of health or mental health problems

Canino undertakes to notify the dog owner immediately if their dog has health or mental disorders or if the dog has problems settling in that exceed normal limits.

3.8 Test night before the start of the holiday

Dogs who book holidays with Canino for the first time must have at least one paid test night before the start of their vacation. The duration of the trial stay is determined by Canino and is chargeable. This measure serves to get the dog used to the new environment and makes it possible to identify and address any adaptation problems at an early stage. Dogs that are already in day care at Canino are excluded from this regulation.

3.9 Registration and chip requirement

The dog must be properly registered and microchipped.

3.10 Provision of adequate feed stocks

During vacation stays, it is up to the dog owner to provide enough food (20% more than the usual ration).

4. Feeding service, walking service and care

4.1 Report that the service is inoperable

Notification of the lapse of the service must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the full price will be charged.

4.2 Restrictions for extreme weather conditions

No long walks are made in extreme weather conditions and no refunds are given.

4.3 Delivery of unpicked animals

The day/holiday dogs that are not picked up after the agreed pick-up date can be handed over to an animal shelter after two days. The dog owner bears the resulting costs.

4.4 Information in case of delays

If delivery and pick-up times are delayed, dog care must be notified by telephone.

5. Rescheduling and cancellation

5.1 Picking up the dog on the agreed date

The dog owner undertakes to pick up the dog on the agreed date. If the dog is not picked up, the costs will be charged to the dog owner.

5.2 Payment for late collection

If the dog is picked up late, additional days of care must be paid in accordance with the daily rate.

5.3 Cancellation of appointments

Appointments must be cancelled at least 7 days (holiday dogs) or 24 hours (day dogs) in advance to avoid costs.

5.4 Cancellation fees

The cancellation fees vary depending on the time of cancellation and are charged to the dog owner.

5.5 Cancellation periods

The contract must be cancelled one month in advance to avoid additional costs.

6. Prices and variances

6.1.1 Feeding service

• Price per feeding: CHF 25.-1

2) The walk usually takes 60 minutes, but may be shorter depending on the dog's needs and health status.

6.1.3 Day care

• Price per day: CHF 80.-3
• Supplements:

6.1.5 Dog sport

The price for sports activities is calculated individually according to effort and duration.

5) I accompany your dog to appointments such as at the vet, hairdresser, or physical therapy. Scheduled time for the appointment is 1.5 hours. Waiting time of more than 1.5 hours is charged additionally. Waiting time of more than 1.5 hours is charged in addition at CHF 50.- per hour, rounded up at 5-minute intervals.

6.1.7 Wedding care

• Price per day: CHF 600.-6
• Arrival and departure: Will be charged separately depending on the costs

6) Accompanying the dog for the duration of a wedding (up to 10 hours). Includes walks, feeding, care and necessary rest periods. Adjustments are possible depending on the health status and constitution of the dog. Individual arrangements are possible at any time in advance.

6.2 Different offer prices

Offer prices may differ from the prices stated in these general terms and conditions. The price stated in the individual offer is decisive.

7. Payment terms

7.1 Payment modalities

Payment is made in cash, by Twint or bank transfer in accordance with the specified conditions.

Canino is not subject to VAT. Therefore, no VAT is charged on the prices shown.

7.2 Reminders and outstanding payments

Reminders for outstanding payments may be subject to reminder fees. Canino reserves the right to discontinue care services if payments are pending.

8. Use of data and use of photos

8.1 Use of data

The dog owner's data is used exclusively for internal administrative and informational purposes. This includes managing data in a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) system, which is used to organize and optimize customer communication and relationships. The data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill the contract, required by law or necessary for the operation of the CRM system, in which case appropriate measures are taken to protect the data.

8.2 Photo usage

Canino may use photos of the dog for promotional purposes, including online and print media. If the dog owner does not agree with the use of the photos, this can be notified in writing and the photos will not be used.

8.3 Data storage

The data is stored and processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

8.4 Right to information and deletion


The dog owner has the right to obtain information about the stored data at any time and to request its deletion, provided that this does not conflict with legal storage requirements.

9. General conditions

9.1 Information about cantonal requirements

If the dog is subject to cantonal requirements, Canino must be informed of this.

9.2 Binding nature of agreed dates

Agreed appointments are binding and changes to the contract must be made in writing
